Dear Visitor,
The European Parliament Former Members Association (FMA) was created in November 2001 with the support and assistance of the Parliament in order to bring together former MEPs and avail of their experience and expertise. The FMA currently has nearly 700 members and is involved in a wide range of activities including conferences, seminars, democracy building, and spreading information about the European Parliament and the EU. Much of the activity is carried out in partnership with the European Commission, Universities, and other bodies.
We publish our FMA Bulletin in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German four times per year and you can find the electronic version on-line. You can also find information on some of our current activities by clicking on the link About the FMA.
We also published the "FMA Handbook", a useful guide that will provide you with more detailed information on the objectives and on the achievements of the association. Members only can download it in the section FMA Handbook.
I very much hope you will enjoy visiting our website. If you are a former MEP and would like to join the FMA, please complete the FMA Membership Application Form and return it to the FMA secretariat in Brussels.
Yours sincerely,
Pat COX, FMA President
Former President of the European Parliament (2002 - 2004)
