EP to Campus Programme

The EP to Campus programme allows Universities to benefit from the expertise and experience of former Members of the European Parliament who will share their insights into how the EU institutions really work and what are the factors that shape EU decision-making. You will find detailed information about it in the brochure here below in the language of your choice.

The initiative to include the participation of former MEPs comes from the University that is organising a conference, a seminar or a tutorial. The University is required to fill in the form here below which contains basic information about the event, together with the profile of the speaker(s) required, and to return it to our Association by email, fax or post. The FMA will then aim to match the requirements of the institution with FMA members available, using a database which contains details of the areas of expertise of former MEPs. The FMA sends a shortlist of names to the University from which you choose. The University is always in charge and only you decide on the final candidate. This of course includes the right to reject all of those offered if you are not happy. The database from which we choose these persons is available in Speakers' Bureau and includes a list of those FMA members who are interested in participating in the programme.

Concerning the financial aspects, please go to Financing.

Lastly, the category some accounts will give you an insight from professors and speakers who already profited of the programme. For example, the FMA had a cooperation in 2006 and 2007 with the Institute of Florence, the Coventry University, the Bogazici University in Istanbul and the University of Malta; in 2008 with the University of Florida and the Oradea University in Romania, and in 2009 with the University of Warmia et Mazury in Poland.
