The European Parliament Former Members Association (FMA) was created in November 2001 with the support and assistance of the Parliament in order to bring together former MEPs and avail of their experience and expertise. The FMA currently has nearly 600 members and is involved in a wide range of activities including conferences, seminars, democracy building, and the spreading of information about the European Parliament and the EU. Most of the activities are carried out in partnership with the European Commission, Universities and other bodies.

We publish our FMA Bulletin in English, French, Italian, Spanish and German four times per year and you can find the electronic version on-line. You can also find information on some of our current activities by clicking on the link FMA Activities.

We have also published the "FMA Handbook", a useful guide providing you with more detailed information on the objectives and achievements of the association. Only the FMA members can download it in the section  FMA Handbook.
