It was a one-hour event that included a 35-40 minute presentation and a 20-25 minute debate space. \nThe participating audience was composed of secondary school students and teachers\, members of the “Tell me about your Europe” project corresponding to the framework of activities of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence of the University of Malaga. She talked about Environment and Public Health. \nThe first half of the conference was open to a select public and was a discussion about cases of past projects\, legislation\, initiatives\, or crises in which the MEP found it particularly rewarding\, vexing\, or enlightening to have participated. \nThe second half has been driven by student questions attempting to draw out aspects of the “everyday life” of an MEP that are the heart of this course\, informed lightly by how anthropologists and sociologists have attempted to understand the work of policy-makers such as central bankers or even legislators.
