The event was hosted by Professor Andreea Ion and welcomed an audience of approximately 40 Bachelor’s and Master’s level students\, along with faculty members. \nThe speaker for this event was former MEP Mr. Leslie Huckfield. \nThe focus of the webinar was aligned with the competencies required by several key committees\, including Development (DEVE)\, Budgets (BUDG)\, Budgetary Control (CONT)\, Economic and Monetary Affairs (ECON)\, and Regional Development (REGI). \nThe event was conducted in English and was run for approximately 2 hours.[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”30871″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]We were pleased to announce our EP to Campus Programme entitled ‘VEMUN’ in collaboration with the Lycée Franco-Allemand de Buc and the Lycée Notre-Dame du Grandchamp. This event took place on 14 and 15 March 2025. \nThe speakers were Ms. Monica Baldi\, FMA Vice-President\, Michael Hindley\, FMA Board Member\, as well as Alain Lamassoure and Johan Nissinen\, both FMA Members. \nWhile the students carried out a simulation of a United Nations meeting\, our former MEPs gave speeches on the theme: ‘Exercising Global Responsibility’. \nThis event offered the students a unique opportunity to interact with former members of the European Parliament\, enriching their understanding of international affairs and the role of the European Union on the world stage.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”30875″ css=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”30877″ css=””][/vc_column][/vc_row]

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]On 27 March 2025 the FMA\, in collaboration with Fundação Getulio Vargas\, FGV Direito Rio\, Brazil\, organised an online webinar at 6:00 PM (Brussels time). \nThe speaker for this event was former MEP Ms. Ana Gomes. \nThe webinar\, titled “EU-Brazilian Relations: Past\, Present\, and Future\,” will be part of FGV’s “International Week.” During the session Ms. Ana Gomes discussed how policy is crafted within the EU\, with a particular focus on foreign policy and its impact on Latin America. A Q&A session followed the lecture and engaged the audience in further discussion. \nThe event was conducted online in English and welcomed approximately 30 undergraduate and graduate law students.
