DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On 12 June 2023\, former MEP Niccolò RINALDI \, will give a lecture to secondary school students of the Lycée Victor Hugo at the HAEU premises as part of the educational programme with focus on the drafting of the Ventotene Manifesto ‘Towards a Free and United Europe’.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]About the educational programme of the HAEU \nThe Historical Archives of the European Union offers tailored educational programmes designed for students of all ages\, from kindergarten to university. These programmes aim to introduce students to important topics related to the history of European integration and to current developments of EU institutions by focusing on the original archival sources preserved in the Archives. The programme creates social spaces for interactive reflection\, discussion and learning about issues related to Europe\, democracy\, and European citizenship. \nThe HAEU educational programme is organised in collaboration with FMA\, the Former Member Association of the European Parliament. Through this collaboration\, former Members of European Parliament meet with both Florentine students and from other European regions by sharing their experiences in European politics and their views on the European Union. \nThe topic of this scholar year \nThe 2022/2023 educational programme is focus on the drafting of the Ventotene Manifesto ‘Towards a Free and United Europe’.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_video link=”https://youtu.be/IJgq4pruH30″][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text] \n\nProgramme\nPress Release\, published on 12 June 2023\nFull report \n\n[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \nA conference organised by the European Parliament Former Members Association\, Erasmus+/Indire and the Historical Archives of the EU examined the relationship between young people and European institutions. \n\nThe future of Europe depends on its young people. \nThis conference\, organised by the European Parliament Former Members Association\, Erasmus+/Indire and the Historical Archives of the European Union\, examined three concrete programmes developed to increase the understanding and participation of young people in Europe. \nIn three separate panels\, contributors described collaborative initiatives across the institutions\, and experiences teaching and learning about Europe at the primary\, secondary\, and university levels and beyond. \nThe conference was opened by the Brass Ensemble from the Conservatorio Cherubini Firenze. \n\nFollowing this conference\, an FMA Publication ‘Participation in Europe’\, based on contributions of speakers and guest during this high-level conference will be published late 2023. On Thursday 7 December 2023 the book will be presented in the European Parliament in Brussels.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
