This was followed by a tribute from European Parliament Vice-President\, Katarina Barley. The commemoration also featured poetry readings by members of the FMA Management Committee and curated musical performances. The honour roll call was read by Vice President of the FMA\, Monica Baldi. DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]On 14 December 2026\, the European Parliament Former Members Association (FMA) is organising an EP to Campus event at KU Leuven in Leuven\, Belgium. The event will bring the European Parliament closer to students with an on-campus lecture entitled “From Brussels with Insight: EU Politics in Practice”\, delivered by a distinguished former Member of the European Parliament. \nThe lecture will focus on policy and decision-making\, exploring how policies are developed\, the role of stakeholders and lobbying processes\, and the importance of political communication. Participants will gain practical insights into the European Union’s decision-making process through the speaker’s experience in Brussels. \nThrough the EP to Campus programme\, the FMA aims to strengthen the dialogue between academia and European institutions\, as well as promoting a better understanding of the European Union.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
