During her visit\, Ms Herzberger-Fofana will deliver a lecture entitled “Regional Parliaments in Global Governance: Comparing Parliaments in Europe and Africa”. \nThis will provide an opportunity for students and academics to discuss the role of regional parliamentary institutions in addressing global issues and to compare parliamentary cooperation frameworks in Europe and Africa. The event will also encourage discussion on democratic governance\, international cooperation and regional parliaments’ contribution to global policymaking.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”32077″ img_size=”full” css=””][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text css=””][/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text css=””]From 21 to 23 October 2026\, the FMA organised a visit to Ireland on the occasion of Irish EU Council Presidency. \nA delegation of European former parliamentarians\, led by FMA Vice President Monica Baldi\, is scheduled to undertake a three-day visit to Ireland. A meeting has been scheduled between the representatives of the Irish Government and Parliament\, and former Members of the European Parliament. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the priorities of Ireland’s Presidency of the EU Council and the current political landscape of the island nation. \nThis event is exclusively reserved for members of the FMA.\nThose current or former members of the FMA who wish to participate in this visit are kindly requested to liaise with the secretariat. Registration is open until 2 July.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
