On 9 October 2026, the European Parliament Former Members Association (FMA) is organising an EP to Campus event at the University of Oviedo, Spain. The event will feature a lecture entitled “Customs Duties: A Source of Revenue or a Political Weapon?”, delivered by a distinguished former Member of the European Parliament.
The lecture will explore the role of customs duties in EU trade policy, examining their economic and political significance. The event will take place online.
Through the EP to Campus programme, the FMA aims to bring the European Parliament closer to students and strengthen dialogue between academia and European institutions.
