On 19 October, the European Parliament Former Members Association (FMA) will organise an EP to Campus event at the University of Portsmouth, bringing the experience and perspectives of the European Parliament closer to final year students.
The event will feature a keynote speech by a former Member of the European Parliament, followed by a Q&A session. The topic will focus on EU institutional and party politics in the post-Brexit context, with particular attention to policy areas such as European defence, migration, and EU trade policy.
Through the EP to Campus programme, the FMA aims to strengthen dialogue between academia and the European institutions, while giving students first-hand insight into the functioning of the European Parliament, contemporary EU politics, and the future of European integration.
