On 10 December 2025, from 11.00 to 13.00, the FMA will organise the 2025 Annual Seminar titled: “The role of EU institutions and Parliamentary Diplomacy in a changing world” in the European Parliament (Brussels) and online.
Annual Seminar 2025
This year’s programme will highlight how parliaments, beyond their legislative and scrutiny role, can serve as platforms for global cooperation and drivers of the common good. Our speakers will share their first-hand experience, illustrating how they and/or their institutions engage in political action that builds bridges, fosters agreements and creates lasting commitments.
We are delighted to confirm the participation of:
- Sabine Verheyen, First Vice-President of the European Parliament.
- Stefan Dobrev, Chairperson of the EIT Governing Board.
- Ana Palacio, Former Member of the European Parliament. Former Foreign Affairs Minister of Spain and Visiting Professor at Georgetown University
- Georgi Pirinski, Former Member of the European Parliament. Former Chairman of National Assembly of Bulgaria. Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.

The Librorum event and Annual Seminar will be broadcasted live via this webpage and interpretation will be available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
