2 June 2026, from 16:00 to 17:30 (CET), the Former Members Association officially launched the celebrations marking its 25th anniversary.

President of the FMA and former President of the European Parliament, Klaus Hänsch, delivered a welcome address and statement to mark 25 years of the Association at the Yehudi Menuhin Space. Following there was a choral interlude performed by the European Parliament Choir. Then at the Yehudi Menuhin Mezzanine, the FMA unveiled its anniversary exhibition, showcasing the milestone achievement of the Association. It served as a retrospective of the FMA’s mission, as it  retraces the Association’s key initiatives and programmes.

The exhibition is a product of the creative vision of Vice-President Arch. Monica Baldi with the collaboration of the FMA Secretariat: Elisabetta Fonck, Albertina Ferreira Magalhaes, Estela Alvarez Jordan, and Camille Horemans. In addition, the FMA would like to thank the European Parliament for their support and for making the creation of this exhibition possible. Through the use of archival photography and personal testimonials, the exhibition celebrates the transition from active office to continued public service.

It took place at the Yehudi Menuhin Space/Mezzanine, European Parliament, Brussels. In addition, simultaneous interpretation was available in English and French.

The exhibition was opened for viewing on Monday, June 1 and was on display until Friday, June 5.

The anniversary brochure, featuring the exhibition panels and special contributions from former FMA Presidents and European Parliament President Metsola, is available bellow.
