On 20 May, as part of Mayor Sébastien Poniatowski’s Joli Mois de l’Europe initiative in L’Isle-Adam, Jean-Pierre AUDY, Treasurer of the European Parliament Former Members Association (FMA), delivered the closing conference of the Journée de l’Europe in Versailles, France.
The event involved students who had participated in a simulation of the European Parliament focusing on the Digital Services Act (DSA). This provided the young participants with practical experience of democratic debate and legislative negotiations, as well as insight into how European institutions operate.
Mr Audy’s speech brought the event to a close. The day was dedicated to promoting European citizenship, democratic engagement, and youth participation in the European project.
