Annual Cocktail and Dinner Debate 2025

On Tuesday 20 May 2025, from 18.30 to 21.30, the Former Members Association will host its annual Dinner Debate, which will be preceded by a welcoming cocktail reception.

This distinguished event will be held in the Members’ Restaurant of the European Parliament in Brussels, offering a unique opportunity for Former Members to engage in meaningful discussions and reconnect in an elegant setting.

European Parliament Quaestor Fabienne Keller will deliver a welcome message at the beginning of the cocktail. The dinner will be opened by European Parliament Quaestor Marc Angel, who will deliver a welcome speech. After, Guest Speaker Ms. Arianna Podestà, Spokesperson of the European Commission, will give a speech titled: “Europe’s Choice: from trade to defence, the key decisions shaping our future in the current geopolitical landscape” followed by an exchange of views with FMA members. Our special guest Ms. Maria João Rodrigues, former MEP, will also add a brief speech during this event. The audience will be a mix of former MEPs, MEPs and guests.

To facilitate participation and ensure inclusiveness, interpretation services in both English and French will be provided for those who require them.
